Copper processing is an important sector in the national economy. Driven by the stable and sustainable development of the national economy, China has become the world's largest producer and consumer of refined copper and copper products.

Copper fabrication material refers to copper material manufactured by copper and copper alloy in various shapes, such as copper plate, copper strip, copper wire, copper row, copper tube, copper rod（copper bar）, copper foil, etc. At present, China is one of the countries with the most abundant copper products in the world, with approximately 250 kinds of alloys and nearly a thousand product varieties.

Globally, China has become the world's largest producer and consumer of copper processing, and occupies an important industrial position and influence in the international copper processing industry.

Production is seen to have had another year of success, with the China Nonferrous Metals Processing Industry Association and Antaike jointly reporting that China's copper processing output in 2022 reached 20. 25 million tons, up 1. 8 % from the previous year, and has been ranked first in the world for many years. On import and export, according to the statistics of the China Nonferrous Metals Processing Industry Association, from January to November 2022, China imported 407, 000 tons of copper processing materials, exported 635, 000 tons, and net exported 228, 000 tons.
